![]() Two orange reference bands at 70 kDa and 25 kDa and one green reference band at 10 kDa highlight the blue-stained protein ladder. It is stored in SDS-PAGE loading buffer and is ready to use. The PageRuler Plus Prestained Protein Ladder is a mixture of nine (9) blue-, orange- and green-stained proteins (10 to 250 kDa) for use in protein electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) and western blotting. The EZ-Ladder Fluorescent Protein Marker has been pre-treated.Make sure sample preparation conditions have not destroyed the antigenicity of the sample. Similar to that in gel, membrane transferred fluorescent markers can be visualized on an UV or LED translluminator. Use molecular weight markers compatible with a western- imaging substrate, such as the Invitrogen iBright Prestained Protein Ladder or Invitrogen MagicMark XP Western Protein Standard, as a positive control. The product can also be used as molecular weight marker for Western blot experiment. The bands show the similar intensity and ex/em profiles as those of Instant-Bands stained samples. The fluorescent marker proteins yield 9 brilliant fluorescence bands. EZ-Ladder markers in a SDS gel can be visualized directly on an UV or LED transilluminator.Someone recently told me that I should add Laemmli buffer to my ladder so that it is loaded at an equal. Combining with Instant-Bands, the product provides a fast and convenient way to analyze SDS-PAGE gel results. When running a western blot, I usually load less ladder (6uL) than any of my samples (20uL). The product is designed as molecular weight standards for Instant-Bands pre-stained protein samples as well as other fluorescent protein samples. Combining with Instant-Bands, the product provides a fast and convenient way to analyze SDS-PAGE gel results.EZ-Ladder Fluorescent Protein Molecular Weight Markers for SDS-PAGE contains a total of 9 fluorescent proteins from 14 KD to 200 KD. Choose from a variety of protein ladders (molecular weight markers) for protein electrophoresis and western blotting applications. It is concluded that the estimated molecular weight of SMOBIO’s pre-stained marker shows a curve matching well with that of unstained native proteins (MARK12), representing a good estimation of the MW of each pre-stained protein in the SDS-PAGE analysis.EZ-Ladder Fluorescent Protein Molecular Weight Markers for SDS-PAGE contains a total of 9 fluorescent proteins from 14 KD to 200 KD. Although it is impossible to define "precision" for molecular weight of proteins in SDS-PAGE, we did compare the migration pattern of pre-stained markers with unstained protein marker (Invitrogen MARK12) for calibration. Therefore, in the product description, we suggest our users to calibrate the MW against their interested proteins. We did compare the migration patterns of SMOBIO’s Protein Markers with other brands, and we concluded that it was difficult to define “precision” due to the reasons mentioned above. Markers are used to monitor transfer efficiency from gel to blotting membrane. Bio-Rad offers a wide array of protein ladders to cover all your needs both in terms of size range and chemistry. For example, a protein which is highly hydrophilic might show a particular higher position in the SDS-PAGE analysis when compared to a hydrophobic one. LI-COR protein ladders and markers are visible on the gel during the run, so you can monitor protein migration. It is known that the analysis of protein size by an SDS-PAGE is only for “estimation” because of the intrinsic variation of amino acid composition in all proteins including stained and non-stained ones. Usually, pre-stained marker is written on “estimated molecular weight” for caution.
